The binder will be fed from a sheet pile
feeder and will produce both saddle-stitched and saddle-glued
booklets. The unique IBIS individual sheet gluing (ISG) system
produces booklets of high structural strength by replacing
the wire-staples with a micro-pattern of cold-glue 'dots'
between each sheet to produce more attractive, stronger, flatter
and easier-to-recycle books.
The modular design of the Smart-binder allows
it to be fed direct from a digital printer, roll unwinder,
or sheet pile feeder. The output can be either saddle-stitched
booklets, saddle-glued booklets, or glued signatures that
can be fed into an in-line (or off-line) perfect binder.
Cover or inside sheet inserting, perforating,
hole punching, and many other options can be added to the
basic system to create a truly versatile and productive bindery
line for digitally-printed sheets.
We invite you to visit us at IPEX and see for yourself the
quality of the finished bound products, and to discover the
versatility of the IBIS Smart-binder product range.
We look forward to seeing you at IPEX in
