IBIS exhibited a Smart Label-binder (SLB) at Labelexpo in Barcelona in September 2025.
IBIS Smart-binder
The Smart-binder (SB) includes many innovative features such as the option for ISG cold-glue binding. It may be used in-line with the highest speed printers, or fed directly from a web-cutter and roll-unwinder, or off-line from a sheet feeder.
The extended model SB-XW increases max booklet spine length from 320mm to 457mm and max book width from 230mm to to 273 mm. SB introduction video
IBIS Smart Label-binder
The Smart Label-binder (SLB) is a special variant of the standard Smart-binder. With cold-glue binding it has been optimised for the production of 'Extended Content Labels' (ECLs) when used together with an in-line laser-tabbing machine.
The SLB can run paper weights as light as 37gsm without requiring an additional folder. SLB introduction
