The optional additional TP-100 trimmer may be used to produce booklets which are smaller than the normal Smart-binder trimmer minimum size. In the example image below the TP-100 is used to split a long booklet (produced by the Smart-binder) into three narrow booklets.
TP-100 trimmer
The TP-100 infeed conveyor is adjustable in height and connects directly to IBIS Smart-binder delivery.
Transport belts position the booklet in the cutting area inside the TP-100. Shear action knives are used to cut the booklet, either parallel to spine or perpendicular to spine. If splitting a booklet into multiple smaller booklets, then both single or double-bladed knives (gutter cut) are available.
