The Smart-binder DMP-100 (or DMP-101) dynamic perforator can perforate any sheet at any place based upon a barcode input. All perforations run parallel to the folded sheet edge (booklet spine).
Smart-binder
The DMP-100 comes with 2 perforation rotary knives and the DMP-101 has 4 perforation rotary knives. Each rotary knife is activated by a single extra digit in the standard IBIS sheet barcode, so that each side of the sheet can be perforated (or not) on command.
A variety of different perforation rotary knives are available ranging from micro-perf, up to a very coarse perf. (see two standard options below). The DMP makes it easy to incorporate selective "pull-out" sheets into the finished booklet.

The slot is the perforator cut and the bridge is the distance between cuts, as shown below:
The DMP-100 module adds 320mm to the length of the Smart-binder system and requires a 5-bar external high-pressure air supply. The minimum distance from the perf line to the sheet center-fold is 6mm (0.24”).
